Before You Start Your 3D Journey
Getting ready for your adventure in 3D environment creation? We've put together this guide to help you prepare and make the most of your learning experience with Trixinix.
Check Your Equipment
You'll need a decent computer to work with 3D software. While you don't need a supercomputer, we recommend at least 16GB RAM, a dedicated graphics card, and plenty of storage space. A comfortable mouse with a scroll wheel is also essential.
Many of our students find dual monitors helpful, but it's not strictly necessary when you're just starting out.
Install Required Software
Before classes begin, you'll need to install the software we'll be using. We primarily work with industry-standard tools like Blender (free), but you'll get a complete software list after enrollment.
Don't worry about mastering them beforehand—we'll guide you through everything step by step.
Prepare Your Workspace
Create a comfortable workspace with good lighting and an ergonomic setup. You'll be spending lots of time creating, so a comfortable chair and proper desk height are worth the investment.
Having notebooks handy for sketching ideas and taking notes can also be surprisingly helpful in the 3D creation process.
Prerequisites & Skills
Technical Skills
Basic computer proficiency is required. You should be comfortable installing software, managing files, and navigating different applications. Don't worry if you're not tech-savvy—we'll guide you through everything else.
Creative Background
While previous art experience is helpful, it's not mandatory. Even if you've never drawn before, we'll teach you the fundamental principles of design, composition, and color theory as they apply to 3D environments.
Time Commitment
Be ready to dedicate at least 10-15 hours per week to your studies. Like any creative skill, 3D environment creation requires practice. The more time you can invest, the faster you'll improve.
Mindset & Attitude
Bring your patience and persistence! Learning 3D creation is rewarding but challenging. A positive attitude and willingness to learn from mistakes will help you succeed where others might give up.
What Our Students Say
I was worried about my lack of artistic background, but Trixinix made the learning process so accessible. Their "Before You Start" guide helped me prepare perfectly. Within three months, I was creating 3D environments I never thought possible!
The preparation guidance from Trixinix was spot-on. I followed their equipment recommendations, set up my workspace as suggested, and it made such a difference. The learning curve was still steep, but I felt completely prepared for the journey.
